Free TV update

So, yesterday I got another email from "Prize Fulfillment Services" saying that they received my signed affidavit and have approved my win!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOO! So, in 6 weeks or less I should be getting my tv....awesome! The strange thing is that, first of all, I never win anything like this. Second of all, about 7 or 8 years ago my dad won a television at a tool trade show up in Chicago. That's not even the weird part, are you ready? In the drawing for his tv, they only took 100 entries, so his odds were 1 in 100! By pure coincidence that's what the odds were in my dell television contest. Anywho, I'm excited, and pretty sure that I'll actually get the tv.

Is the GOP really interested in alternative (especially renewable) energy sources? All those GOP-funding oil companies will be mighty pissed if they lose precedent as the premiere source of energy in America.

Fascinating that you are interested in these things, that you are taking education classes. Are you going to be a scientist or a teacher? Because this administration gives not one lick for either. I see a lot of incongruencies in what you support and what you live. Granted, your blog is new and I don't know you. These are just my thoughts on what I've seen.

You can believe whatever ideology you want to. But just like extremely poor people that are conned into voting for Republicans, they do not have your true interests in mind.

The only alternative energy source that Republicans in Missouri are interested in is ethanol, which guess what, still needs oil. (E-85 is only carried at 3 stations in the St. Louis Metro. How many stations in Columbia?) And, though there are a growing number of cars taking E-85, you have to be able to afford a newer car in order to use E-85. So poor people, who could truly benefit from a cheaper fuel, won't get to use it because their 1986 Buick won't take E-85. But the yuppie driving a new Dodge Ram - he can benefit.

I once knew a self-proclaimed 'hard-core Republican' who wanted to be a marine biologist. I teased him incessantly with, "Ah, yes. You know how the GOP cares about marine wildlife. They never cut funding for the environment. They're always dumping money into that industry." Same thing with you. Well, the guy, he's opted to go into biochem instead of marine biology. Perhaps he realized he would be surrounded by a bunch of liberals. Perhaps he just changed his mind. I hope you find resolution in your obvious (to everyone else) struggle. Peace.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I sure as hell dont agree with everything the GOP stands for. However, I sure do agree with them much more than the liberals. Yes, I do think that not enough money and resources is spent in alternative fuel. I primarily believe we should be investing large amounts of money in hydrogen fuel cells (which wont mean too much unless we use solar, wind, wave, etc power to generate the hydrogen...which probably wont happen for quite some time.) I also dont agree with bush's stance on stem cell research.
The bottom line though is that I do agree with him much more than the liberal stance which is basically just to bash bush and say how everything he does is wrong, no matter what it is. When is the last time the liberals ever gave an idea about anything. All they ever do is criticize. Maybe once they do actually come up with a plan for something, I could actually be on their side.
