A true leader

President Bush stepped up to the plate and took responsibility for the things that went wrong with the federal response, like a true leader should: "Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government and to the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility" This is exactly why I like this President. Instead of passing the blame (like democrats always do, seriously), like he sure could have, he took full responsibility for some things that are not even his fault.
Bush takes responsibility

yeah, bush, taking accountability, thats a joke. you are pretty delusional. But I guess I can see why, what with the praise for bill o'reilly, the only who man has been caught in more lies than the president.

btw, you know that the reason that the federal govt and FEMA didn't step in for THREE DAYS?!?!?! Its because under the current setup, michael cherthof had to give michael brown the authority to start an emergency response and he waited for how long??? THREE DAYS.

So, it seems bush can never do anything right, no matter what he does, people will always criticize him to push their own agenda, personally i think its quite pathetic...oh and by the way, bush hates black people

obviously he does.

Oh, and by the way, the federal response was faster than after hurricane andrew, ponder that....

yeah and andrew happened 13 years ago and didn't flood one of the largest american cities. And there were reports days before katrina hit that it was powerful enough to break the levees and flood the city, so ponder that a little.

how about you ponder the fact that many of the people who were trapped there had the chance to leave but decided not to, but thats ok, continue only to see your side of the story....

oh, so its their fault for not leaving, damn, I had a chance to yell at some of them the other day, but I didn't seize it, Damnit!! oh well, they looked pretty water-logged and depressed. Jeez, why can't you admit the failures of the federal govt. Im not saying bush himself was the ultimate screw up, its obvious who that was(brown) Im just saying bush appointed him without care of consequence and then didn't really care enough about the crisis to get involved himself, not wholly his fault, its just that a real president would've tried to do something

Im sorry, I'll ponder your side of the story, "damn those black people, of course bush will hate them, they didn't move, it was their fault"

I never said the fed govt shouldnt take some of the blame for this. The problem is when people shift ALL of the blame to them, when in fact little of it was actually their fault. And, I'm not even sure what the hell your last comment is supposed to mean....

little blame, are you fucking crazy???

mayor nagin himself said it wasnt bush's fault, but thats ok, look over that fact

yeah, and you can look over my actual argument, that bush carries fault because of appointments (brown, chertoff) who did their job poorly and caused terrible federal response. You know mayor nagin holds a lot of blame in the federal govt, even if he doesn't blame bush.
