Awesome

America's largest soda vendors have agreed to stop selling non diet soda drinks in elementary and middle schools around the country. Wow, what a shocker. These things have been in schools since I was in about the 5th grade, over a decade, and probably more. Schools get paid big bucks to have these machines. They will of course still have them, but will be serving only water, unsweetened juice and low-fat milks.

On the other hand, some say that students should have the freedom to drink what they would like. However, students often don't make the best decisions. With parents not having control over what their children do at schools, and with rising childhood obesity, I think this is a great sign.

Awesome.
